After keeping fans waiting for months, rising American pop starlet Sabrina Carpenter released a new song titled “Lonesome” in the deluxe edition of her most recent album “emails I can’t send.”
The original album was released last summer, per NME. It includes some of her most famous songs, such as “Because I Loved a Guy” and “Nonesense.” This was also the first album released by the artist that Disney’s Hollywood Records did not distribute.
The musician unveiled the deluxe edition on her official Instagram account on Monday. She added, “Heyy email girl here—for everybody who found a small piece of themselves in this album, please accept these few new songs as my modest thank you.”
She said that a great deal has transpired in her life since then. Thus she cannot abandon her most recent musical phase. She will instead continue to compose new songs.
Carpenter explained that the new album is not a sequel but a collection of songs from her current era.
This week, on March 17, the “emails I can’t send” deluxe edition will be launched for fans who wish to hear the Disney star’s new songs.
Carpenter has omitted just the titles of the four tracks she eventually added to the original thirteen-track album.
She debuted in the entertainment industry on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also had a recurring role in the three-month-long Fox sitcom The Goodwin Games.
