South Korean girl group under Starship Entertainment, IVE (아이브) IVE has returned with their first-ever full album!
Starship Entertainment, IVE’s label, announced last month that the group would release a new studio album in April. On March 16 at 11 p.m. KST, IVE’s “I’ve IVE” comeback teaser will be removed. April 10 at 6 p.m. will debut the full music video.
“I’ve IVE” is the group’s first studio album and first comeback in eight months since “After LIKE” in August last year. Wonyoung and Yujin were founding members of IZ*ONE, which broke up in April 2021, so everyone was excited about their debut.
With the release of their first single album, ELEVEN, on December 1, 2021, IVE made its official debut. Forty-five million YouTube views in days made the album one of the most successful girl group debuts. The song reached #2 on the South Korean Gaon charts, #16 on Japan’s Hot 100, and #68 on Billboard’s Global 200. On December 8, 2021, seven days after their debut, the group won their first Music Show with the song ELEVEN.
They made their first comeback with Love Dive a few months after their debut. Comparatively, the single album did better than ELEVEN, selling 120,000 copies less than a day after its pre-release in stores. After one month, the official “LOVE DIVE” music video on YouTube had 73 million views, surpassing “ELEVEN” and ranking #52 on Global Top Music Videos.
“LOVE DIVE success “earned IVE several awards at prestigious industry ceremonies, boosting its profile.
